Applying Pesticides Correctly (Core manual) is designed to teach and encourage all areas of proper pesticide use and includes a sample test is also provided in the back of every chapter. Core is not a category. All prospective commercial and private licensees are required to take and pass this exam. ©1990

- Safety Training Guide for Trained Servicepersons focuses on safety training for trained servicepersons who are non-licensed commercial or private users of pesticides and who work under the direct supervision of a licensed applicator ©2023

Ohio State University Extension's Pesticide Safety Education Program offers an optional exam prep course for new applicators. This course reviews Core, Category 5—Industrial Vegetation Control, 6C—Ornamental Weed Pest Control, and Category 8—Turf Pest Control.
