PhysBot Data Tracker

The PhysBot Data Tracker, a biowearable learning kit, provides youth in grades 5-12 everything they need to learn how tracking physical activity and fitness improves overall health. As they investigate wearable technologies, youth are inspired to become technology innovators, not just tech consumers. A 9V battery, computer, and internet access are required.   • The kit includes a data tracking device, wristband, external heart rate monitor, 9V battery connector (battery not included), and instructions.
  • Setup includes these steps: assemble the device, configure and calibrate, wear the device, complete a sample physical activity and log data with the device, and access data with the software.
  • Kit is 6.25″ x 1.6″ x 3.5″ and weighs approximately .2 pounds.

The PhysBot Data Tracker was created to engage youth in grades 5-12 in the science and technology behind tracking health and fitness. The Leader’s Guide, available as a free download at ohio4h.org/physbot, includes seven activities that will lead your group through assembly and the significance of each feature. The last activity encourages you and your students to select a fitness challenge.
